Raising Awareness and Renewing Interest
Jersey Cold Case works to restore visibility to New Jersey’s long-term missing persons cases. By sharing case profiles and amplifying their stories, we aim to keep these individuals from being forgotten and help generate the awareness that could lead to answers for their families.
John Cerny is a retired Deputy Police Chief from New Jersey. He created and recently launched Jersey Cold Case to raise awareness and renew interest in New Jersey’s long-term, unsolved missing person cases. He believes through the power of social media, it is possible to spark a memory, and inspire someone to come forward with information about a case.
What We Do
Research
We research and profile each case. All researched information is obtained from public accessible sources such as: internet, newspaper archives, genealogy sites, and open public records from law enforcement agencies.
